As our Industrial Automation Controls Technician, you maintain the plant’s equipment and electrical controls while driving upgrades that make manufacturing safer, faster, and more reliable. You’ll be hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and SCADA, partnering closely with skilled trades and outside contractors to keep operations running and evolving.
What you’ll do
- Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, PLC platforms, and facility electrical infrastructure.
- Program, modify, and sustain PLCs and HMIs; diagnose and resolve control system faults.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, control system improvements, and plant layout/rearrangement initiatives.
- Collaborate daily with internal trades and external contractors to support operations and projects.
- Work with automation, robotics, and SCADA integrations to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
What you bring
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics with 3 years of experience; or 10 years of relevant hands-on experience.
- PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen‑Bradley and RSLogix 5000.
- Familiarity with HMI development and SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware or Intellution) and broader industrial automation.
- Knowledge of electrical systems under 600V and applicable standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, plus strong communication and analytical skills.
Impact
Your expertise will minimize downtime, improve system reliability, and help us commission the next generation of equipment that powers our plant’s future.
