Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist in patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Provide care for patients with diverse needs, including those in critical care and emergency medicine.
- Support discharge planning by educating patients and families about post-care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in infection control measures, particularly in infectious disease care settings.
Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and critical care protocols.
- Knowledgeable in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and occupational health practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for maintaining patient records.
