Under the supervision of a Parks Supervisor, provides general winter labor at Pigeon Creek Lodge located in West Olive, MI. The employee, working as part of a team, will provide customer service needs including fee collection for ski rental and food concessions during winter operations.
The employee will be responsible for the cleaning of public areas (e.g., litter pick up, trash removal, cleaning walks, and parking lots, snow removal), restrooms, hallways, kitchen areas, and fireplace(s) in Pigeon Creek Lodge. Employee may be scheduled for group/school rental events. Enforces the established rules of the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Department based on specific guidelines. This position is seasonal/part-time and is non-benefited. The Park Attendant is not to exceed 1,000 working hours per year. Please note: schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License preferred.

- Monday-Thursday, 2-8 pm
- Friday, 1-10 pm
- Saturday, 9 am-10 pm

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides general labor required for the cleaning and maintaining of public areas, restrooms, hallways, kitchen areas, grills, and fireplace(s) in assigned facilities, including but not limited to washing windows, unplugging drains and toilets, changing light bulbs, snow and ice removal, and trash, recyclables, and litter collection.
- Collects rental fees, concession fees, and accounts for money collected.
- Prepares concession food following ServSafe guidelines
- Sets up and tears down rental areas for specific uses and events and, opens the building and/or grounds and monitors events for groups.
- Maintains the work/park area in a neat, clean and safe condition.
- Performs all work and enforces all park rules in accordance with established safety protocols and procedures.
- Performs general periodic cleaning of park displays, and other nature oriented fixtures and objects.
- Responds to specific requests by park patrons.
- Performs other functions as assigned.
Must be 16 years of age or older, graduation from high school or GED preferred. Applicants under the age of 18 must be able to provide a work permit, which requires permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License preferred.
