Otsego Electric Cooperative, Inc. (OEC) seeks a versatile, self-motivated, and qualified professional to lead the financial and administrative functions of our electric and broadband distribution utility. OEC is a rural electric cooperative that was formed in 1941 and serves over 5,000-meter locations and 4,500 broadband services in Central New York. With its wholly owned subsidiary, OEConnect LLC, OEC is unique in offering both electric services and fiber-to-the-home broadband services. Our mission and purpose are to provide safe, reliable, and affordable energy and broadband services to our members and communities to improve their quality of life. OEC has 22 full-time employees, combined revenues of over $14 million annually and over $60 million in combined plant.

As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for the fiscal health of both entities while overseeing high-impact areas of accounting, finance, regulatory compliance, grant management, and other administrative functions as needed.

The Director of Accounting is responsible for promoting the vision, mission, and values of the Cooperative; while developing and achieving the strategic goals of the organization as they apply to this role.

The employee is expected to perform other tasks, duties, responsibilities, and training courses as instructed by the CEO/General Manager that are reasonably related to this role.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
