The Role:
The Pricing team is responsible for developing, executing, and managing customer pricing strategies, RFP responses, and awarded business. This role serves as a key partner to Sales, Carrier Sales, and Data teams to ensure competitive pricing, maximize award opportunities, and drive profitable growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the end-to-end RFP process after opportunities are created by the Sales team.
- Lead bid review meetings to validate pricing assumptions, customer expectations, and lane requirements.
- Analyze market conditions and lane data using DAT and internal pricing tools.
- Build and submit pricing proposals through Beagle and other customer platforms.
- Develop pricing recommendations and forecast expected award outcomes.
- Present pricing feedback and strategy recommendations throughout each RFP round.
- Review awarded business and determine which opportunities align with company objectives.
- Enter and manage awarded volume within pricing systems and tools.
- Provide market updates and pricing intelligence to leadership and sales teams.
- Collaborate with Carrier Sales and Data teams to identify carrier capacity for contracted lanes.
- Develop and refine pricing strategies within Beagle and related systems.
- Identify re-pricing opportunities from historical RFP submissions and customer portfolios.
- Manage award performance, lane utilization, and customer commitment compliance.
- Support spot pricing activities and maintain ownership of pricing automation tools.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, brokerage pricing, carrier sales, or account management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret market trends and pricing data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and transportation technology platforms.
- Experience with RFP management and pricing tools preferred.
