Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, including flatbed,
- Load and unload cargo efficiently
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Plan and follow optimized route driving schedules, maintaining punctuality and safety standards
- Deliver freight to various locations, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to delivery instructions
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with flatbed, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of load securement techniques for flatbed freight and refrigerated cargo handling
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Familiarity with route planning, delivery procedures, and traffic regulations across different regions
- Skilled in load & unload operations
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
