POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative is responsible for outbound prospecting, managing leads, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting sales efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Outbound Prospecting:
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold calls, emails, and other lead-generation activities to potential clients.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage prospect information, update contact details, and maintain detailed notes.
- Source new leads through Google searches, LinkedIn, company websites, and other channels, and input them into Salesforce.
- Handle incoming queries and building good client relationships
- Maintain and update the lead generation database to ensure accurate data.
- Lead Management:
- Set meetings with qualified leads to the sales teams with the objective of closing the sale and providing them with lead summaries.
- Create new opportunities in Salesforce and track progress throughout the sales cycle.
- Follow up on no-show meetings and reschedule as necessary.
- Reach out to tradeshow attendees before and after events to nurture relationships.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Monitor portal for branded app information and communicate with design team and Sales Representatives accordingly.
- Track customer ordering trends and proactively reach out to address any issues or explore new opportunities.
- Discuss product features, benefits, and marketing materials with customers to promote Otodata.
- Support and Collaboration:
- Respond to customer and prospect inquiries via phone and email, directing them to the appropriate departments for assistance.
- Assist with tech-related questions, billing inquiries, and other customer support issues.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to address customer issues and provide updates on customer accounts.
- Attend meetings with sales representatives, management, and other stakeholders to discuss industry trends and business opportunities.
COMPETENCY PROFILES AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience/ Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Knowledge
- Knowledge of a CRM and an ERP;
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Knowledge of the automotive industry or telemetry (asset).
