Overview
Top pay for a skilled and licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. This role involves working in homes and on construction sites, renovation projects, performing maintenance tasks, ensuring electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently and safely. Candidates should possess a solid background in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of various hand and power tools. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low and high voltage systems, and schematics is highly desirable.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems on construction sites and renovation projects.
- Perform residential and commercial electrical service calls
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues.
- Install circuits, panels, devices, lighting, and equipment
- Perform routine inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Operate and maintain a company‑provided service van
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven 4 years' experience as a residential or commercial electrician with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license or able to procure a license.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Experience working on construction sites, renovations, or similar environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other testing devices.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of schematic reading for complex electrical circuits.
- Ability to work independently and represent the company professionally
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
