Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair. The Journeyperson Electrician will work on a variety of projects, ensuring that all electrical work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work with power tools and hand tools to complete installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as needed to complete projects on time.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years' experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with logic controllers is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial electrician tasks is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively use voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, and other relevant equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid electrician's license or certification is preferred.
