Othello Community Hospital is a full-service, critical access hospital located in Othello, Washington. Open 24/7, it provides both inpatient and outpatient care to the surrounding Adams County community with a strong commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare.

OPEN POSITION: Emergency Room CNA – Part-Time, Day-Shift

Othello Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time, Day-Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our fast-paced Emergency Room (ER) team. As a vital member of our frontline care staff, you will support nurses and physicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. This is an excellent opportunity for CNAs who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about making a difference in critical care settings.

• Location: Othello Community Hospital, Othello, WA
• Schedule: 24hours/Pay Period, Days, Weekends, Holidays;
  
  Set Schedule: 06:00-1800, every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
• Status: Part-Time (non-benefit earning)
• Wage Range: $19.19 – $34.77/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes
• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output
• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
• Support ER staff with procedures and emergency interventions
• Maintain clean and stocked patient care areas
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and timely
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Washington State CNA certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 months of CNA experience, preferably in acute care or ER setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with medical terminology and infection control practices
