Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, assisted living, or similar environments and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with patients, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's, to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers.
- Engage in patient observation to identify any changes in behavior or health status.
- Support clients with mobility challenges and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in group homes, nursing homes, or hospice care settings is a plus.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care and memory care.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs.
- Familiarity with direct support roles and caregiving practices.
- Understanding of long-term care experience and social work principles is beneficial. This position requires a nurturing individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care to those in need while ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.21 per hour
