What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist position at OT CONNECTION?
Are you a vibrant, passionate, and energetic pediatric speech language pathologist? If so, we're looking for you to join our collaborative team of speech, occupational, and physical therapists at our conveniently located office in Pflugerville, TX with easy access to both I-35 and 130. Enjoy regularly consulting and building holistic treatment plans with your fellow speech therapists, who carry a combined 20 years' experience in feeding therapy, Autism, Apraxia of speech, and early intervention to support the whole child and their families. Our clinic features three fully-stocked sensory gyms and an expansive outdoor playground.
At our clinic, you will be responsible for initial evaluations, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing parent education to a diverse caseload of children. Learn more about what's needed in the role below:
What we are looking for:
- Energetic, creative, flexible, and self-driven clinician with a passion for supporting pediatric clients and their families
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a robust understanding of evidence-based practice
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload of clients, including working with individuals with Autism, Apraxia, language delays and disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, feeding challenges, and stuttering. In addition, experience with implementing AAC is preferred.
- Passion for creating programs that improve client's functional communication skills through play-based, functional activities
- Team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to jump in to support fellow team members, as needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must carry a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Must carry Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Current state of TX SLP License
- One year experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferred
- Bilingual clinicians are highly encouraged to apply!
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
