Job Title: Administrative Assistant Department: Fisher College | Career Services The Administrative Assistant 2 is a key member of the Office of Career Management (OCM). This role focuses on dependable front‑desk coverage, friendly customer service, and steady administrative support that keeps the office running smoothly. Provide accurate, timely and basic information to customers, employees, or visitors, and route complex or specialized inquiries to the appropriate staff for resolution. Monitor the general office inbox, front desk calendar, and main Teams channels to help ensure consistent coverage and timely follow-up. Support scheduling of rooms and appointments. Assist with routine office tasks such as ordering supplies, processing mail, and maintaining a neat, organized front office environment. Process purchasing, reimbursements, and travel requests. Provide day‑to‑day guidance to student employees. Provide light support for student and employer events. Perform other related duties as assigned. Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the summer. Occasional evening or weekend support may be requested for events. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED. 1 year experience working in administrative capacity. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, organization skills and customer service skills; Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Desired Qualifications: Experience with university systems (i.e Workday, Handshake, 12twenty). Experience in an office and higher education academic environment Additional Information: The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99/hr. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc. Location: Gerlach Hall (0250) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
