Server/Bartender

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and hospitality-driven Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, mixology, and creating memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and making food and beverage recommendations.
• Upsell menu items, specialty cocktails, and featured products to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining room, and club common areas.
• Wash, sanitize, and polish glassware, silverware, and bar equipment.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible beverage service in compliance with all local and state regulations.
• Learn and efficiently operate the NorthStar POS system for order entry and transactions.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and team members to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and current beverage trends.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and side work responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong hospitality and customer service skills with a guest-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude within a team setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Sales and upselling experience is a plus.
• Ability to memorize menus and maintain detailed product knowledge.
• Previous bartending or serving experience preferred, but not required depending on experience level.
