What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Coordinator position at Osta?
About Osta
We're a vertically integrated construction tech company in the space of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. We're scaling fast across Southern California and we believe that Quality is how we win. This role is full-time in-person at our HQ in Irvine, CA with regular field travel.
About the Role
You're the last line of defense before a job is marked complete. You review documentation, inspect photos, and travel to job sites to verify work quality in person. You determine whether the work is safe, code-compliant, functional, and clean.
When work doesn't meet standards, you flag it and make sure it gets fixed. Over time, you'll identify patterns: which technicians need coaching, which job types have recurring issues, where training has gaps.
This role is 80% quality assurance and 20% operations coordination. You own the standard. You hold the line.
What You'll Do
- Review all completed job documentation and photos against quality standards
- Evaluate workmanship for safety, code compliance, functionality, and aesthetics
- Conduct field inspections across Southern California to verify work in person
- Flag deficiencies and require corrections before jobs close
- Provide clear, written feedback so technicians know exactly what to fix and why
- Identify patterns and recommend training improvements
- Generate job reports for customers using our proprietary AI agents
- Track quality metrics and report on team performance
- Coordinate with operations on callbacks, corrections, and retraining needs

What We Believe
- Mastery Matters: Good enough isn't. Every job, every role, every line of code is a craft to perfect.
