ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct breaking and transfer room employees, maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive environment.
  • Oversee production workflow — including employee assignments and rotations — to consistently meet quality and quantity goals while keeping yield at peak standards.
  • Train employees on SOPs and SSOPs; ensure ongoing adherence to all company procedures.
  • Perform required quality checks throughout the day and address deviations promptly.
  • Partner with the Breaking Plant Manager and Human Resources on employee relations matters; deliver constructive, timely performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist with unloading eggs from trailers, moving product to storage, and de-palletizing as needed.
  • Manage timekeeping responsibilities, including timecard approval and time-off requests, using company software.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Interpersonal effectiveness: Builds and sustains constructive working relationships with coworkers, contractors, USDA officers, and visitors.
  • Time management: Self-directed, with the ability to prioritize and manage both personal workload and team output.
  • Clear communication: Conveys information effectively in writing and verbally so every audience can understand and act on it.
  • Attention to detail: Thorough and accurate when executing tasks and following established processes.
  • Professionalism: Consistently demonstrates courtesy, honesty, and responsibility in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Make quick, coordinated movements to handle and move product or equipment.
  • Visually interpret instructions, operate machinery, and inspect product.
  • Climb ladders and stairs as needed.
