What You'll Do
As part of our transportation team, you'll support FDOT and other public-sector clients across the full spectrum of project development—including PD&E studies and concept development by:
- Assisting with PD&E studies, including alternatives analysis, purpose and need documentation, and project development milestones in accordance with FDOT standards
- Supporting concept development for roadway corridors, intersections, and interchanges—helping communities visualize and evaluate future transportation solutions
- Preparing conceptual roadway layouts and typical sections using MicroStation and related CADD tools
- Conducting traffic operations, capacity, and safety analyses for roadways and intersections
- Using GIS tools to identify, map, and quantify environmental, social, and physical impacts
- Performing technical research and analysis under the guidance of experienced engineers
- Developing reports, exhibits, graphics, and presentations that communicate project findings to clients and the public
- Assisting with project schedules, data collection, and technical documentation
- Supporting coordination with internal teams, public agencies, and stakeholders
- Participating in client meetings and public involvement activities, as appropriate

- Eagerness to learn and cross-train across transportation disciplines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
