OSI Engineering
Cupertino, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 11/18/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/17/2025

Our client, a leading global consumer electronics company, is looking for a Hardware Engineering Program Manager (HW EPM) to sit at the center of new product development for complex hardware systems and input devices.

In this role, you’ll drive a multi-functional team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, owning the plan, release, and delivery of flex boards and main logic PCB subsystems through the full product development lifecycle. It’s a great fit for someone with a solid Electrical Engineering background who loves solving complex hardware problems, keeping fast-moving teams aligned, and being the go-to person for build readiness and issue resolution.

You’ll blend hands-on technical depth with program management—owning schedules, running builds, working closely with global suppliers and contract manufacturers, and keeping leadership plugged into risks and progress.

  • Responsibilities Lead cross-functional development for the main logic PCBA and related flex boards for hardware.
  • Build and manage detailed program schedules, tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks across teams.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive resolution of project issues and risks, escalating when needed.
  • Work directly with global suppliers and contract manufacturers, tracking deliverables and integrating their schedules into the overall program plan.
  • Plan and execute product prototype builds, including material readiness, build matrices, and factory preparation.
  • Own system-level flexes and boards:
  • Run the internal design review process.
  • Release designs to vendors and manage updates.
  • Review design changes with cross-functional partners.
  • Track materials and drive on-time delivery to final assembly.
  • Establish and manage the daily build schedule and distribution plan for key builds
  • Communicate status, risks, and big-picture context to project teams and leadership.
  • Support international travel for key build events, as needed.

  • RequirementsBS degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
  • 1 years of experience in hardware engineering or operations/program management, including direct factory and/or build event experience.
  • Experience in portable consumer electronics (phones, tablets, wearables, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PCBA design, layout, and/or DFM is a strong plus.
  • Solid technical background in EE; additional ME or Mechatronics experience is a bonus.
  • Proven ability to run complex hardware builds, manage vendors, and keep multiple workstreams on track.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable presenting status and risks to stakeholders at different levels.
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing complex build matrices and planning spreadsheets.
  • Thrives in rapid development cycles and can stay calm and flexible in the face of constant change.
  • Experience collaborating with Mechanical Engineering, Design, Systems Engineering, Reliability, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally for build events.
