What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Program Manager (Camera/Optical Technologies) position at OSI Engineering?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee camera/optical calibration and test requirement definition, focusing on feasibility and managing cross-functional discussions (not hands-on execution).
- Lead cross functional alignment in the various stages of NPI and highlight and mitigate risks as they arise.
- Drive Camera/Optical calibration and test strategy discussions while balancing operational requirements.
- Engage in technology development from incubation and prototyping phases to mass production requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5 years relevant industry experience in Camera, Optical, Physics, and/or Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years of engineering Project Management working with various groups.
- Technical leadership across cross-functional teams, with strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Hardware NPI process, metrology development, and validation.
- Ability to drive camera calibration and test requirements
- Understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis, design, process and test FMEA
- High volume consumer electronics calibration, testing and manufacturing experience
- Ability to bring focus and transparency to complex situations while monitoring the bigger picture and the needs of a rapid development cycle
- Bachelor’s Degree in EE, CE or related field
