We are seeking an MES Systems Analyst / Product Owner Support professional to join a regional team supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across North America (U.S., Canada, and Mexico) for a global automotive company.
This role operates on the business side of internally developed systems, partnering closely with IT and manufacturing teams. While not a full Product Owner position initially, this role plays a critical part in supporting product owners, improving team efficiency, and strengthening system documentation and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support regional MES product owners in executing system strategy, roadmap initiatives, and backlog priorities
- Act as a liaison between IT teams and manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment and clear communication
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including process flows, system diagrams, and technical-to-business translations
- Capture and formalize tribal knowledge into structured documentation
- Assist in driving execution of decisions and ensuring follow-through across cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple plants in North America
- Support Agile processes, including requirements gathering and backlog refinement
- Contribute to improving team efficiency, standardization, and knowledge management
- Qualifications & Experience2 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing systems, preferably within the automotive industry
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar systems technologies
- Strong documentation and communication skills (critical for success in this role)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and locations
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and production systems
- Experience with business analysis, process design, and change management
- Strong attention to detail, especially in testing and validation (UAT)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with project coordination or project management
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working with IT/development teams
- Ability to understand and translate technical concepts into business-friendly documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing environments
- Understanding of plant-floor operations or manufacturing systems (MES)
