Machine Operator III - 2nd Shift
Our Parma, Ohio branch of OSG USA, Inc. is one of the largest full-line domestic die manufacturers in the United States. We offer a wide range of products for the thread forming industry including flat, cylindrical, planetary, trimming, rack and segmented carbide dies. The company markets its products to numerous industries including automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry and dental.
We are seeking a Machine Operator III to join our growing team This 2nd shift position reports to the Shift Supervisor. In this role, your primary function will be to setup and operate external grinder(s) to grind a wide variety of precision parts having many shoulders, unusual contours, or tapers with close tolerances and high degree of finishing.
Job Functions for a Machine Operator:
Reads and interprets work orders, drawings and basic blueprints to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures control settings, and grinding methodsMounts, dresses wheels for form, taper, step and straight grinding operations for a variety of materials.
Understand the operational sequences, wheels spindle speeds and feed rates, and possess the ability to compensate for variations in material characteristics and other grinding/milling conditions, as they occur.
Performs first piece and in process inspections and record results to assure quality products.
Cleans machine (s), tooling, and product produced.
Preferred Qualifications for a Machine Operator:
Blueprint reading and interpret basic blueprints and work to drawings, specifications and established procedures.
Utilize a wide range of adjustable and fixed quality measuring tools to check the work performed.
Qualifications for a Machine Operator:
High School Diploma equivalent of 5 or more years of applicable work experience.
Basic comprehension and understanding of shop mathematics and the ability to work between standard and metric units of measurements.
Demonstrated ability to operate multiple machines and multi-task.

Compensation type:
$ $21.85 range depending on experience monthly bonus potential

Hours: 2nd Shift 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Training maybe on 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm)
