Expected pay for this position is $29.01 - $34.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Outreach Coordinator implements and maintains the outreach and volunteer program for the designated market. This includes extensive community activities and outreach, coordinaton of fundraising events in conjuction with OSF Foundation, and recruitment and retention of volunteers. This position is a key spokesperson and champion for OSF HealthCare in the community.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
2 years experience in communications/public relations, marketing, community service, or related field.
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Experience with event planning and project management. Experience with social media marketing and communications.
Education:
Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, business, or related field.
Other requirements/information:
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with individual donors and corporations as well as to coordinate efforts with a variety internal and external leaders, staff, and committees.
- Demonstrated proficiency with applicable computer software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and email communications. Strong and persuasive writing skills.
- Analytical skills necessary to determine effective fund development strategies, identifying potential sources of contributions, and develop short- and long-term development goals and objectives.
