Senior Scheduler – Data Center Construction
Location: Reno, Nevada
Oscar Construction is partnering with an established construction consultancy to recruit two Senior Schedulers to support major hyperscale data center projects in Reno, Nevada.
Working in a client-facing advisory role, you will provide scheduling oversight across complex construction programs, collaborating with owners, contractors and project teams to monitor progress, identify risks and protect key milestones.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and review project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Review and challenge contractor schedules, including sequencing, logic, durations and dependencies.
- Conduct critical path and float analysis to identify risks to project completion.
- Monitor progress against baselines and report on milestones and schedule performance.
- Assess delays, variances and the scheduling impact of project changes.
- Develop and review recovery schedules and recommend mitigation measures.
- Review look-ahead schedules and coordinate upcoming activities with project teams.
- Perform schedule quality reviews and validate progress reporting.
- Present clear findings and practical recommendations to client stakeholders.
- Support coordination of construction, MEP installation, energization and commissioning milestones.
Experience and requirements
- Proven construction planning and scheduling experience, ideally within the 5–15-year range.
- Strong, hands-on Primavera P6 proficiency.
- Thorough understanding of CPM scheduling, logic, float and critical path analysis.
- Experience building and maintaining schedules, reviewing contractor submissions and managing baselines.
- Ability to assess delays, challenge assumptions and identify workable recovery strategies.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and contractors.
Desirable experience
- Hyperscale data centers or other large, technically complex construction projects.
- MEP systems, electrical infrastructure and power distribution.
- Energization, commissioning and handover sequencing.
- Consultancy or owner’s representative experience.
