What You'll Do
As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a key role in coordinating patient care and ensuring a smooth surgical experience from consultation through surgery day.
During training, you will rotate through front-office positions to gain a comprehensive understanding of patient flow and practice operations. Once trained, you will transition into a dedicated surgery scheduling role.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating cataract, laser, and specialty surgical procedures
- Educating patients on the surgical process and answering questions
- Scheduling surgeries and related appointments
- Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility
- Managing patient records and documentation
- Collecting payments and discussing financial responsibilities
- Communicating with surgery center, physicians, and patients
- Answering incoming calls and providing exceptional customer service
- Assisting with check-in and check-out processes during cross-training
- Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

- Friday: 7:15 AM – 12:00 PM
