Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Church Secretary. As the Church Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of our church. Duties:
- Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors
- Maintain and update church records, including membership information and financial records
- Assist with organizing church events and activities
- Prepare and distribute church bulletins, newsletters, and other communications
- Manage the church calendar and schedule appointments for the pastor and staff
- Coordinate volunteers for various church programs and activities
- Assist with order entry for church supplies and materials
- Provide clerical support to the pastor and staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Self Starter
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of basic clerical procedures and office management practices
