About the Role
The Executive Director, Consumer, Paid, Owned, Earned is a senior leader responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of high-impact and relevant platforms and big ideas across the consumer journey from consumer insights to organic social/content to paid media channels and influencer/PR for Laura Mercier and Bare Minerals, while also providing guidance on best practices and media support for Buxom. Reporting directly to the Global Brand President, this role serves as the strategic architect of how the brands connect with consumers across owned, earned, and paid touchpoints.
This leader oversees the Director, Social & Content Strategy, Director, Paid Media, Director, Influencer/PR and Manager, Consumer Insights, building powerful integrated strategy and campaigns that meet consumers where they are throughout their consumer journey, with strong relevance and meaningful impact. With accountability for building brand equity, driving consumer engagement, and delivering measurable ROI, the Executive Director partners closely with Brand, Creative, Commercial Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to deliver consumer-first strategies that accelerate growth and deepen brand loyalty. They will be a key contributor, in partnership with Global Marketing and North America Marketing Execution to build high-impact big ideas that are executed with differentiation and impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define and lead the global and regional US owned and earned consumer engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with overall brand vision and business objectives.
- Accelerate brand relevance, collaborating with Brand Marketing to build high-impact, consumer first and differentiated big ideas and 360’s and building an understanding of how to optimize our approach across social platforms and key touchpoints.
- Lead full-funnel paid media strategic planning strategy and execute upper and mid-funnel media. Partner with VP, Digital on performance marketing integration and key learnings.
- Provide guidance on briefs to ensure clarity and inspiration to drive strong media plans with clear objectives across awareness, acquisition, consideration, and conversion. Align content, community, and media into a unified strategy across all consumer touchpoints.
- Build differentiated influencer strategies across Laura Mercier and bareMinerals.
- Guide social and content strategies to ensure brand storytelling, community building, and data-driven optimization across platforms.
- Manage media and creative agency partnerships, ensuring accountability, innovation, ongoing optimization and delivery of best-in-class campaigns.
- Partner directly with the Global Brand President and leadership team to shape consumer-facing strategies, aligning resources and investments to growth priorities.
- Collaborate with Brand and Creative leadership to translate insights into powerful creative strategies, elevating storytelling across channels and with strong media and content fit.
- Own reporting of consumer engagement performance at the executive level, leveraging insights to inform long-term planning.
- Oversee multimillion-dollar budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, ROI delivery, and alignment with brand financial objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability.
- Anticipate and integrate emerging digital, social, and consumer trends, ensuring the brands remain leaders in an evolving landscape.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in organic social, paid media/digital marketing and influencer, with experience across PR and consumer insights preferred. 5 years of senior leadership experience.
- Prefer experience across both large multinational and smaller, agile brand/s.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated owned, earned, and paid strategies across multiple brands or markets.
- Experienced in building creative big ideas and executing with excellence across internal and external teams.
- Expertise in paid media platforms (Amazon, Google, TikTok, Meta, YouTube, etc.) and evolving social and influencer ecosystems.
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive organizational change.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in beauty, fashion, or consumer lifestyle industries strongly preferred.
- Balances creativity and strategic thinking with the ability to use data to optimize.
- Proven experience managing against multiple timelines on-time.
- Experienced at building agility and change within an established organization, demonstrating the ability to inspire and bring along others.

- Pay Transparency - One of our values is Stark Honesty and the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. The pay range for this role is: $157,500 $225,000
