Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction
📍 Location: Panama City, Florida, United States (32401)
💰 Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 per year

Position Summary
The Project Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and project assessments.
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support quality control efforts and work closely with QC personnel.
- Track project documentation, submittals, RFIs, REAs, CORs, and CTCs.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Provide technical support throughout all phases of construction.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secure facilities, including military bases.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
- Experience with project management processes and documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality control on heavy civil construction projects.
- Quality-related certifications.
- Experience working on USACE and/or NAVFAC projects.
