What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Office Assistant position at Orthotic & Prosthetic Lab, Inc.?
Orthotic and Prosthetic Lab Inc. has been in business for over 35 years and specializes in the custom fabrication of braces and prosthetic limbs. We are privately owned and currently have four locations in the Saint Louis Metropolitan area. This position will be located at our Webster Groves Office. *Please note, this is NOT a remote position.
The Medical Billing Office Assistant position will mainly entail a high volume of calling and faxing physician offices to request medical records and follow up to ensure the necessary information has been obtained. In addition, significant communication with outer offices and patients via phone is required. Additional various office tasks are included as warranted as time goes one.
This position requires multi-tasking and a VERY close attention to detail. In addition, phone etiquette and professionalism are a must. Previous healthcare facility experience is a plus.
