Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead the HR functions within a busy medical practice located in the Encino area. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational growth. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that align with the practice’s goals while maintaining an engaging and compliant environment for all team members.
Duties
- Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified healthcare professionals and support staff through effective HR sourcing strategies and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) tools.
- Oversee compliance with employment laws including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), workers' compensation, and other relevant regulations to ensure legal adherence across all HR practices.
- Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, utilizing HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms like Workday or ADP for accurate data collection and management.
- Facilitate employee orientation sessions, training & development programs, and succession planning initiatives to promote continuous growth and organizational stability.
- Supervise payroll processing using systems like ADP or Paylocity while ensuring accurate employee evaluation, performance management, and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising HR teams within a healthcare or medical practice setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, FMLA policies, workers’ compensation procedures, and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, conflict management, program management, and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with managing contracts, budgeting processes related to HR functions, and implementing HR policies aligned with organizational goals.
