What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician position at Orthopedic Center for Sports Medicine?
We are looking for a passionate, self-driven Physical Therapy Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for assisting Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants with daily patient treatments and administrative tasks.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Assist the PT or PTA with patient care and education services based on direct clinical instructions.
- Facility Maintenance: Organize and sanitize equipment and supplies to ensure a safe, orderly, and professional environment.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service when interacting with patients, families, insurance providers, and physicians.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with clerical duties, paperwork, and other responsibilities assigned by the Director or Administrator.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; college-level coursework or healthcare training preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally in person and over the phone.
- While previous PT experience is beneficial, it is not required. This position is ideal for individuals planning to apply to PT or PTA school.
- Prior education in biology, anatomy, or kinesiology is considered an advantage.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.50 per hour
