Job Description: We’re looking for an experienced Medical AR/Billing Manager to lead our billing and collections operations and help keep our revenue cycle running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving problems, streamlining processes, and building high-performing teams.
As a key connection between our third-party billing company, authorization team, workers’ compensation department, and Finance, you’ll ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all payers — while driving improvements that enhance revenue flow and reduce denials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily billing operations — charge entry, coding, claim submission, payment posting, and collections.
- Monitor aging reports, claim denials, and payments to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Partner with leadership to develop strategies that improve revenue cycle performance.
- Lead, mentor, and support billing staff to maintain excellence and accuracy.
- Serve as the go-to expert for payer relations, billing regulations, and authorizations.
- Conduct audits, prepare AR reports, and ensure compliance with all billing standards.
- Oversee physician credentialing and participate in process improvement initiatives..
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle management experience.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles.
- Certified Professional Biller or Certified Professional Coder certification preferred.
- Orthopaedic or specialty practice experience a plus.

- Proficiency in EHR software and Microsoft Office.
