The Medical Records Representative is responsible for maintaining accurate and secure patient medical records while ensuring timely processing of record requests. This role supports patients, attorneys, and providers by handling medical record inquiries, disability and FMLA documentation, and physician review requests. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and effective communication across multiple channels. - Maintain patient medical records
- Process patient and attorney medical record requests
- Assist patients and co-workers in the office, on the phone and via email & fax regarding patient medical records
- Prepare return to work and return to school letters
- Complete Disability and FMLA form requests
- Process attorney medical records review requests for the physicians
- Process letter requests from providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures
