Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinic Operations & Patient Flow
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
- Coordinate schedules, room utilization, and provider support
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real time
- Serve as escalation point for patient concerns at the site level
- Provide direct supervision to assigned clinical and front-office staff
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage, breaks, and call-outs
- Assist with onboarding, training, and cross-training of staff
- Monitor timekeeping accuracy and support payroll processes
- Address routine performance and conduct issues in partnership with the Practice Manager
- Ensure clinical support staff follow established protocols and workflows
- Monitor rooming processes, documentation support, and supply readiness
- Assist with inventory control and supply ordering
- Support quality initiatives and workflow improvements
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and NYS regulations
- Support audit readiness and corrective action plans
- Promote a safe, compliant, and patient-centered environment
- Serve as primary on-site liaison between staff, physicians, and Practice Manager
- Communicate daily operational updates and concerns
- Support implementation of new workflows, systems, or policies
- Serve as acting site leader in the absence of the Practice Manager
- Escalate significant issues as appropriate
- Maintain continuity of operations during leadership absences
Education
- Associate’s degree required (Healthcare, Business, or related field)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory healthcare setting
- Prior experience in orthopedic or surgical practice strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory or lead experience required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Working knowledge of EMR systems and clinic workflows
- Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and safety standards
Salary : $70,000 - $88,000
