The Role
As a Lower Extremities Product Manager at Orthomerica, you will play a key role in providing technical, educational, business development, and marketing support for key lower extremity product lines. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Sales. This role focuses on product expertise, customer training, market development, and cross-functional collaboration. The Product Manager is responsible for following all corporate policies and procedures, including product guidelines, marketing programs, financial performance to budget, and maintaining quality and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on role with real impact—your work will directly shape how O&P clinicians and allied healthcare professionals experience our brand and use our life-changing orthotic technologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Education
Provide product education and training to customers, distributors, and employees for lower-extremity product lines—such as OWLS, TC-Flex, Fuzion, and Spectrum—focusing on product features, applications, benefits, and proper use.
2. Marketing Support
Partner with the Marketing team to develop marketing materials, digital content, and promotional initiatives for key product lines. Educate referral sources, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and other professionals—on product capabilities to help expand market reach and drive new business.
3. Market & Product Opportunity Identification
Identify new products and market opportunities by researching emerging technologies, materials, customer needs, and competitive trends. Contribute to the development of new market channels.
4. Product Line Management
Continuously evaluate existing lower extremity product lines to identify improvements, monitor industry developments, and stay informed about competitive products and innovations.
5. Training & Development
Deliver product-related training to technicians, internal staff, and external customers as needed. Support onboarding, skill development, and product adoption.
6. Sales Enablement
Collaborate with the Sales team by presenting product seminars and supporting educational events within regional territories. Participate in state/national conferences, private workshops, and online training programs.
7. Technical Support
Provide product-related technical assistance to customers, offering guidance on product selection, design options, configurations, and best-use scenarios.
8. Reimbursement Support
Work with the VP of Business Development to assist in the development of coding guidelines associated with key lower extremity product lines.
9. Best Practices Development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product leadership and management—to establish standard product guidelines, recommended usage protocols, and support materials for customers.
10. Performance & Strategy
Work directly with the VP of Business Development on strategic initiatives, product objectives, and financial performance relative to budget expectations.

Qualifications
- BS or MS degree, Certified Orthotist (CO) or Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) with at least 10 years’ post-certification experience in the orthotics and prosthetics field.
- A full knowledge of lower extremity orthoses.
- Knowledge of corporate and divisional policies, practices, and agreements regarding personnel and production.
- Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy when dealing with anyone inside or outside of the organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working within the O&P, medical device, or healthcare manufacturing industries
- Hands-on familiarity with lower-extremity orthotic fabrication, fitting, or clinical workflows
- Experience supporting product launches, product lifecycle management, or portfolio optimization
- Comfort presenting to clinical audiences, including orthotists, prosthetists, physicians, and therapists
- Experience collaborating with international distributors or global markets
- Knowledge of reimbursement pathways, coding, and diagnosis guidelines related to orthotic products
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, performance metrics, and customer feedback to guide product decisions
