Job Summary
Responsible for efficient and effective functioning of the physical therapy clinic; responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients; performs administrative, supervisory, and advisory functions. Consults with and performs outreach to local companies to educate in the benefits of OrthoAtlanta as their provider of choice. Acts as liaison between PT and community employers; is responsible for growth and development of these services/programs. Acts a liaison between staff and physicians meeting the need of the customer.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and oversees activities of physical therapy department including ensuring compliance with regulations of governmental and accrediting agencies
- Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders, current standards of care and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
- Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
- Maintain patient records confidentially.
- Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
- Facilitates development and monitors department mission, policies and procedures and goals
- Oversee the development/implementation of programs including post offer testing, FCE and pre-employment screening; conducts testing in accordance with standard practice and within applicable laws
- Model a high standard of teamwork, leadership and professionalism; maintains patient confidentiality
- Development of strategic planning, marketing activities to increase OrthoAtlanta’s visibility in the community
- Administer and comply with all company policies and procedures including infection control and safety policies
- Ensure company’s guideline for billing and collections of department services are adhered to
- Provides direction to Physical Therapy, Assistants and Aides with patient care and related activities as requested.
- Ensure department complies with the Georgia State Physical Therapy Act, codes and regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
- Follows all of the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Blood Born Exposure Plan policy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
- Attends meetings as requested.
- Provides back up for administrative staff to include answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking in patients.
- Master’s degree in healthcare or similar
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current State of Georgia Physical Therapy license or eligible to receive one
- 2 years’ experience as Physical Therapist
- Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices
- Ability to build trust with physicians and co-workers
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detailed oriented
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
