Summary
This position is responsible for processing referrals from multiple digital sources including Insurance companies, direct websites and fax referrals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process assigned electronic referrals within the same day; referral tracking and follow-up
- Assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments for all physicians
- Maintain patient information and data integrity in the systems
- Communicate with clinical teams and providers as necessary regarding appropriate patient scheduling
- Attends all required staff and educational meetings
- This position is also responsible for assisting with incoming call overflow, on an as needed basis
- Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a call center
- Experience with NextGen preferred

Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with ability to use in varied situations. Have technical proficiency in Health insurance, and an ability to interpret and explain coverage details.
