As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing high-impact areas of spend through the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. Oversees supplier selection, negotiation, and long-term value creation to support operational and financial goals. Leads the development and maintenance of contracts to ensure supply compliance and performance accountability. Monitors supplier spend, cost-reduction commitments, and value delivery across assigned categories.This full-time onsite position is a great opportunity in the exciting medical device industry.

Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for supplier selection, negotiation, and long term value creation. This includes traveling to our suppliers often (roughly 60% of the time) to ensure supplier reliability.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company goals for cost, quality, innovation, and supply security.
- Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Develop all material bids for RFQ/RFP/RFI processes. Participate in supplier qualifications. Lead contract negotiations for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to identify sourcing options that meet design, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance with FDA, ISO, and ODEV quality system standards.
- Deliver supplier performance improvements (OTIF, quality metrics, responsiveness) and facilitate corrective action and sustaining improvement initiatives.
- Drive cost-reduction achieving PPV goals, and lead-time optimization.
- Support continuous improvement in sourcing processes, supplier scorecards, and ERP data accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience. Preferably in medical device, life sciences, or precision manufacturing industries.
- Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Have proven track record in supplier go-to market (RFP) and supplier negotiations.
- Have successfully lead strategic sourcing/ procurement projects.
- Familiar with Legal requirements.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems
- Lean, Six Sigma, CPM, PMP, MCIPS, or CPSM certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Work will be split between Supplier Site Operations and ODEV onsite office activities. Travel required 60%
