ROLE PURPOSE
The VP of Marketing serves as the architect and operator of orsa’s internal marketing agency—translating our purpose into work that moves people, shifts perception, and drives measurable growth.
This role sits at the intersection of brand, performance, and storytelling, responsible for ensuring that everything we create—campaigns, content, partnerships, and experiences—feels unmistakably orsa: human, bold, and rooted in relentless care.
As a senior leader, this role shapes how the brand lives in the world. They bring discipline to execution, clarity to priorities, and elevate the craft of the team, ensuring that creative excellence and operational rigor coexist.
This leader builds systems that scale—establishing the internal agency model, defining standards of excellence, integrating data and insight into decision-making, and creating a culture where experimentation, learning, and storytelling fuel growth.
This position has a starting annual rate of $129,300, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
As an impact-driven team, our work is collaborative and dynamic. This role, like all positions at orsa, will be counted on to perform a variety of tasks as directed by leadership. Some of the core deliverables for this role are:
Role-Specific Leadership
- Act as the marketing team’s executive liaison, translating the cos’ strategic vision into actionable, measurable plans.
- Lead and operate orsa’s internal marketing agency, establishing clear intake, prioritization, production, and delivery processes.
- Maintain brand standards across all outputs—ensuring consistency, quality, and brand integrity.
- Build capacity planning models that balance strategic work with production demands.
- Create visibility into work through dashboards, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Introduce and optimize tools (including AI) that enhance creative output, workflow efficiency, and insight generation.
- Own and continuously evolve core marketing operating rhythms, including campaign planning, budgeting, performance tracking, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Partner with the cos in succession planning, professional development, and recruitment across the department.
- Serve on internal project teams, representing the marketing function in strategic planning and operational initiatives.
- Lead the evolution of orsa’s brand as a living system, ensuring consistency across storytelling, partnerships, and member experience.
- Build a test-and-learn marketing engine, using data, experimentation, and insight to continuously refine performance.
- Translate strategy into clear narratives that teams, members, and communities can understand and rally around.
- Establish decision-ready reporting, connecting marketing activity directly to growth, engagement, and brand strength.
- Elevate creative output to industry-leading levels, pushing beyond “credit union marketing” into category-defining work.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

- Education: A bachelor’s degree and/or at least ten years progressive marketing experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams (creative, digital, content, brand).
- Work Experience: Proven experience operating or building an internal agency or high-performing marketing function with production rigor. Demonstrated ability to translate brand into compelling, differentiated storytelling that drives growth. Strong fluency in modern marketing ecosystems, including data, performance marketing, and AI-enabled workflows. Track record of building high-accountability, high-creativity cultures.
- Industry Experience: At least ten years of work experience outlined

Work Model and Conditions: Hybrid
This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient. This position also works from home, where an appropriate work environment is required. Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
