Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing schedules and production planning needs.
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to ensure timely acquisition of materials.
- Oversee supplier management activities including qualification, performance evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration to secure quality supplies at optimal costs.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels through demand planning, inventory control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Implement effective materials management practices to support production efficiency, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and inventory management tools.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and develop continuous improvement initiatives for logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations related to procurement and supply chain activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, materials management, or supply chain roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts including logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, and contracts negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead supplier management initiatives and foster strategic vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and demand planning techniques to optimize materials flow.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in production planning, logistics, and quality assurance is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
