We are seeking a WAN/Telephony Framework/RIL Development Engineer with strong expertise in Qualcomm platforms and Android telephony frameworks. This role involves debugging, optimization, and integration for smartphone and tablet products, ensuring compliance with major U.S. carriers.
Job Title: WAN/Telephony Developer
Location: Holtsville, Long Island, NY (Hybrid Minimum 3 days/week onsite)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Debug and resolve integration, testing, and performance issues in Android RIL, telephony, and modem interfaces.
- Work on VoLTE, VoWiFi, Call, SMS, and Data modules within the telephony framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on carrier requirements (AT&T, Verizon, etc.).
- Support certification and device-level requirement validation.
- Perform debugging and performance tuning using QXDM, QPST, QCAT, etc.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong programming experience in Java, C, C .
- Deep knowledge of Android architecture & internals (Android M, N, O).
- Hands-on experience with Qualcomm mobile chipsets and QCRIL.
- Strong debugging skills using industry tools (QXDM, QPST, QCAT).
- Familiarity with carrier certification processes and requirements.
