We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of our commercial calibration and repair laboratory in Phoenix. This is a leadership role for a technically strong, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
🔹 What You’ll Do
As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations while ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead by example and embody SIMCO’s Mission in Service
- Manage daily operations of the calibration and repair laboratory
- Own P&L responsibility, managing budgets and variable expenses
- Oversee technical and administrative staff, including supervisors and non-exempt employees
- Drive operational efficiencies to reduce costs and improve service performance
- Maintain and expand laboratory accreditations and scope (ISO/IEC 17025, UKAS, KEMA)
- Resolve complex technical issues related to TMDE
- Maximize utilization of laboratory assets and recommend capital acquisitions
- Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and corporate leadership
- Support Regional Director/VP on key initiatives and strategic projects
🔹 What We’re Looking For
- 10 years of experience in the Calibration & Repair industry
- Strong technical background in:
- Physical Dimensional
- RF/Microwave
- General Test Equipment Calibration
- PMEL or equivalent technical training highly preferred
- 2 years in a supervisory or section lead role
- Proven experience managing a technical service organization
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to motivate teams and drive results independently
