Are you an experienced technical leader with a background in field service, manufacturing engineering, electronics repair, or advanced capital equipment? We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of highly skilled technicians responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing sophisticated laser systems while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
✔ Lead and mentor a team of laser repair technicians in a fast-paced repair center
✔ Oversee daily repair operations, performance metrics, and workflow priorities
✔ Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and laser system issues alongside engineering teams
✔ Ensure repaired equipment meets quality standards and customer expectations
✔ Manage repair documentation, warranty activities, and spare parts inventory
✔ Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability
✔ Serve as the technical expert for assigned products while supporting customer escalations
What We're Looking For:
• Associate's Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent hands-on technical experience
• 3–5 years of experience servicing lasers, photonics equipment, or other sophisticated capital equipment
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electro-mechanical systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for mentoring and developing technical teams
Preferred Experience:
⭐ Fiber lasers or photonics equipment
⭐ Manufacturing engineering or repair depot operations
⭐ Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement
⭐ Quality Assurance/Quality Control
⭐ Military technical leadership backgrounds including Electronics Technician (ET), Fire Control Technician (FT), Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), Missile Technician (MT), Radar Technician, Avionics Technician, or Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician (ET)
