Orion Solutions Group has partnered with a leading 3PL that specializes in managed transportation and integrated supply chain solutions. Our client is looking for a Director of Carrier Procurement. This is a leadership role responsible for building and maintaining high-level relationships with key carrier partners. This role is focused on carrier performance, service quality and long-term network development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for top-tier carriers, including owners and senior leadership.
• Oversee carrier RFP’s, performance, scorecards, service expectations, and compliance standards.
• Conduct business reviews and collaborate with carriers to drive continuous improvement.
• Support capacity strategy by working with an established carrier network and selectively onboarding new partners.
• Align carrier capabilities with customer needs within the managed transportation vertical.
• Partner with Operations, Customer Success, and Solutions teams to enhance service reliability.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen the network and improve overall carrier performance.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 7 years of transportation, 3PL, or managed transportation experience
• Strong understanding of truckload operations and carrier networks
• Experience working with carrier leadership and building long-term partnerships
• Background in carrier performance management, scorecarding, or capacity strategy
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
