Orion Solutions Group has teamed up with a world-class International Freight Forwarding company that has provided supply chain solutions to large, medium and small-size multinational companies for over 35 years. Their Contract Logistics and Freight Management service is a fully integrated global network with offices in each of the key sourcing countries delivering excellent operational service to each of their clients.

We are in search for an experienced and motivated Sales Executive to join their North American team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with customers, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in full end to end supply chain sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and act decisively. The Business Development Manager will identify, target and close on new business opportunities. Prospect for potential customers using various methods such as direct calling, face to face meetings, and networking across multiple industry functions. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a “hunter” personality. Leads will also be provided to you with soft intros.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish relationships with new customers and closing new contracts throughout the year.
  • Manages the entire sales cycle from “Initial Opportunity” through “Closed Won”.
  • Prospecting potential customers using various direct methods such as cold-calling, face to face meetings and industry networking.
  • Executes customer presentations, submits opportunities, manages activity reports, and participates in overall company growth strategy.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services, and company operations.
  • Work closely with operations managers to develop collaborative working relationships and ensure all customer needs are met.
  • Enter sales data into CRM system, or other designated sales call software provided by the company.
  • Works cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Position level commensurate with experience, will consider candidates with:
  • Candidate with strong understanding of Freight Forwarding/Logistics with demonstrated aptitude and desire to sell.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Word and Excel), internet, web-based and job specific software applications required
  • Must have strong persuasive and negotiating skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues.
  • Effective planning and organization skills required to schedule appointments appropriately and to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license required, acceptable driving record required and proof of automobile insurance required.

Travel: Up to 50% local market/region

Salary: $110,000-$125,000 commission
