Position Summary
The Quality Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing technical and operational documentation to support Orion’s quality and manufacturing processes. This role ensures all documentation meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, edit, and refine documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all materials.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other technical and quality documentation.
Ensure documentation aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines.
Conduct detailed reviews and edits to verify accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to gather information and refine documentation.
Organize and manage document control systems to maintain version accuracy and accessibility.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and recommending documentation enhancements.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure all documents meet Orion’s quality standards.
Work on-site in an environment that may involve exposure to weather elements and chemicals while following required PPE protocols.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience with SOP documentation and documentation best practices.
Proficiency in technical documentation and technical writing.
Highly developed analytical skills to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
Knowledge of manufacturing documentation standards is a plus.
Associate degree in a technical, communication, or related field preferred.
Ability to work effectively in an on-site, cross-functional team environment.
Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
