Trusts & Estates Attorney – Estate & Tax Planning

Pay: $125,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Location:

Hybrid opportunity based in New York City with time split between the firm's Manhattan (Wall Street area) and Brooklyn (Clinton Hill/Fort Greene area) offices. Enjoy a flexible schedule with three in-office days each week.

Note:

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New York and have trusts & estates experience. Estate tax planning experience is strongly preferred and will receive priority consideration.

Job Description

• Advise clients on estate planning, estate tax planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
• Draft sophisticated estate planning documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
• Develop customized planning strategies for individuals, families, and business owners.
• Counsel clients through complex planning matters with practical, solution-focused advice.
• Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professional advisors.
• Participate in client meetings and build long-term trusted relationships.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New York Bar license.
• 2 years of Trusts & Estates experience.
• Estate tax planning experience strongly preferred.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills.
• Experience preparing sophisticated estate planning documents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Admission in another jurisdiction or LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
