Personal Injury & Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Manhattan, New York, with a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Note: This role requires 3 years of directly relevant personal injury tort litigation and/or insurance defense litigation experience and active New York Bar admission.

Job Description

• Handle personal injury tort and insurance defense litigation matters from early case stages through resolution
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
• Appear in court and participate in conferences, hearings, and related proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients and help develop case strategy
• Manage files independently while balancing multiple deadlines and priorities
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on litigation strategy and client service

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York Bar
• 3 years of personal injury tort litigation and/or insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Trial experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong writing, communication, and case management skills
• Able to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
