Pay: $150,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid in Omaha, Nebraska — a flexible schedule with on-site presence as your foundation for building relationships with colleagues and clients. This role requires Nebraska Bar licensure or clear eligibility to obtain it. No relocation assistance is available.

Note: Candidates must have 5 years of litigation experience in private practice, with meaningful exposure to insurance defense and/or complex civil litigation from inception through trial or settlement. Nebraska Bar licensure (or clear eligibility) is required.

Job Description

• Lead and manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution — including case strategy, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on litigation risks, opportunities, and regulatory compliance issues arising in the context of active disputes
• Interface directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to drive favorable outcomes and protect client interests
• Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters connected to ongoing litigation
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships that build trust, deepen engagement, and generate business development opportunities
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated, high-quality legal services

Qualifications

• 5 years of litigation experience in private practice (required)
• In-depth knowledge of insurance defense and/or complex civil litigation, from case inception through trial or settlement
• Active Nebraska Bar license, or eligibility and commitment to obtain licensure
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills — able to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and in court
• Client-focused mindset with a track record of responsiveness and service quality
• Ability to work independently on cases while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
• Initiative-driven: takes ownership, seeks responsibility, and manages matters with appropriate autonomy
