Litigation Attorney - Auto Defense

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Marlton, NJ, with 3 days working from home each week and in-office collaboration through the Marlton office.

Note: Candidates must have 2 years of civil litigation experience, with specific experience defending third-party automobile matters. New Jersey no-fault and insurance law experience, civil discovery practice, and courtroom appearance experience are strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Handle third-party automobile defense matters from inception through resolution
• Manage civil litigation files involving insurance defense, auto liability, no-fault issues, and related coverage matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, case evaluations, and reports
• Conduct and respond to written discovery, review records, and develop case strategy
• Attend court appearances, conferences, hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
• Analyze liability, damages, medical records, coverage issues, and litigation risk
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters
• Contribute to a collaborative litigation team focused on professionalism, responsiveness, and strong defense outcomes

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active New Jersey Bar admission required
• 2 years of civil litigation experience required
• Experience defending third-party automobile matters required
• New Jersey no-fault and insurance law experience strongly preferred
• Civil discovery and courtroom appearance experience required
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Pennsylvania Bar admission is a plus
