Location
Houston, Texas or Coconut Creek, Florida — hybrid roles offering a balanced mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility for experienced attorneys.
Note
This role requires active bar licensure in the state where you will practice and more than one year of relevant litigation experience. Strong insurance defense experience is preferred, and candidates with solid first-party insurance defense backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Job Description
- Defend first-party insurance claims through all stages of litigation
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
- Analyze coverage issues and develop strategic litigation strategies
- Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with a team of skilled litigators
- Manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high-quality written work
Qualifications
- Active Texas or Florida bar license in good standing
- 2 years of insurance defense or closely related litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and deposition skills
- Ability to manage cases independently with appropriate support
- Insurance defense firm background strongly preferred
